FOREST FIRES NEAR ME AVERTED BY SPACECRAFT

We are not a species who has recently:

sustainably mastered their environment’.

It should be noted that any wild forest fires near me at present were once enabled by ancient oxygen-producing algae.  It should also be noted that our production of greenhouse gases—by fossil-fuel-burning—raises global temperatures, thereby increasing the probability of wild-fires.

Biomass-fuel-burning of—contemporary yet—dead and dry vegetation does not on the whole produce as much greenhouse-gas as the combustion of fossil-fuels.

Despite the aforementioned alleged-academic-corruption … The present website aims to provide a solution, rather than receiving money for complaining about the seemingly-real global climate-change problem.  Our clientele have laboured to produce climate-saving solutions for competitions held by at least one respected and well-known academic institution.

Despite a high competition-ranking, minimal support was offered to our represented clientele.  The competition’s prize was awarded to a competitor’s technology which reported the problem, rather than solving it.  

One well-established university-professor created obstacles, blocking the use of government-allocated-funding to provide a particular solution—squandering months of our clientele’s labour.  At least two other university professors reneged on offering support to our clientele’s aforementioned high-competitive-ranking-solution, shortly after publicly-pontificating on climate-inaction.

The so-called ‘climate-champions’, are those ‘planeteers’ who seek to be captains of our planet’s international governmental policies via globalised legislation.  They act in the letter, but not effectively in the spirit, of the lucrative globally-binding laws that they profit from.

Non-violently challenge these ‘planeteers’ by sharing the knowledge that our clientele now freely provides by way of yet another solution.  May we also have the wisdom to circumvent  the aforementioned academic institution gatekeeping to achieve the goal of climatological sustainability.

One of many low-technology solutions to prevent forest fires near me or you pertains to fettered convicted criminal forestry labour.  The incarcerated would benefit from fresh air and exercise by collecting fallen dead-timber from the forests to prevent summertime fires.

Non-criminal lumberjacks could cut paths through the forest one week, making sure to collect their equipment, which are potential weapons.  Convicted criminals may then collect the fallen timber the following week for controlled burning at combined heat and—electrical—power biomass stations.

The Phased Photonic Propulsion System—3Ps—Space Craft, SC, in Low Earth Orbit

The first figure of the phased photonic propulsion system—3Ps—3PS-i.  Caption: above is a logarithmic scaled diagram of a spacecraft orbiting the earth, which is illuminated by the suns’ rays.

This low-Earth orbiting, aerodynamic drag-less spacecraft is how we combat forest fires near me at a particular site—in the short-term.

The first figure of the phased photonic propulsion system—3Ps—3PS-i depicts Earth viewed along a north-to-south axis, and equatorially counter-clockwise orbited.  The orbit is depicted via a broken grey circular-curve by a single spacecraft—SC—at five distinct geocentric angular-positions or orbital phases.

The SC itself is depicted by four grey bars and one green bar, past to future, lower to higher, respectively.

The sun, Sol, radiates light depicted by five white arrowed-lines, again and correspondingly: past to future, lower to higher, respectively.

Grey bars depict the orientation or attitude of a solar sail SC that minimises its sunlit area when approaching Sol.  These grey bars also represent the SC’s orbital-phase when it is not quite clear of the obstacle of Earth’s atmosphere.

There is a depicted orbital phase which is closest to the sun, and photon pressure would accelerate the SC away.  However—even when the SC is receding from Sol—its thrust and weight vectors are parallel; Earth’s atmosphere would aerodynamically-drag the SC. 

The green bar represents the SC at an orbital-phase in which solar-photon-pressure would act to increase SC geocentric orbital speed.  This would occur with minimal contribution to—photon and aerodynamic—drag components; note that photonic drag occurs when the geocentric-orbiting-SC approaches Sol.   

The green, arrowed line and barred, orbital phase depicts the SC’s rotation about an axis laying on the yaw-pitch plane.  

As an aside: for simplicity here, we ignore SC precession about the roll-axis; the mentioned roll-axis spin … This is required to fling out the sail’s corners, absent mast or boom.  

The green bar depicts a view of the SC in which the sail or material sheet maximises its sunlit area.  More specifically reiterated: the area vector of the sail’s largest surface points towards the sun’s, or Sol’s, centre of mass.

In other words, the aforementioned area-vector is aligned with the displacement vector of the Sun with respect to the SC.

It may be counter-intuitive to believe sunlight can propel spacecraft, but its power enables forest fires near me or you.  The ratio of this power and the speed of light determines the force the sun applies to surfaces it illuminates.

However such force levels are not directly observable with Earth’s gravity and subsequently retained atmosphere, hence the SC’s LEO operation.

Solar photon pressure generates its most significant momentum magnitude change—or impulse modulus—at the orbital phase position green arrowed line origin.  This same line is also the aforementioned SC roll-axis in some way indicated in figure 3PS-i to figure 3PS-iv, inclusive.

The sunlit SC experiences impulse-vectors from photon-pressure acting upon its area at different time intervals during its dayside directly-sunlit orbital-phases.  

However their magnitudes are minimised because the SC’s smallest surface area-vector points towards Sol’s centre upon geocentric-orbital approach of Sol … This minimises the photonic drag contribution from Sol upon the SC.

Thereafter, the SC’s largest surface area-vector points towards Sol’s centre upon geocentric-orbital recession from Sol … This maximises the photonic thrust contribution from Sol upon the SC … Additionally, the thrust vector ought not be directed towards the denser parts of the Earth’s atmosphere.

Over several revolutionary periods, geocentric speed and subsequently, orbital-eccentricity increase.  

Recall the heating power of midday sunlight on your skin which can cause sunburn … The intensity of solar radiation on leaves can prime them for forest fires near me and others in their path.  Above the Earth’s atmosphere, this intensity, or power per unit area, is even greater as is the corresponding photon pressure.

The SC, orbital phase impulse-increments cause an increase in geocentric speed.  Over several orbits the speed can increase from the LEO injection threshold, to escape Earth’s gravitational-dominance, reaching other astronomical bodies. 

Speed-increase is depicted by elongation of the, apparently-circular but technically-elliptical broken grey curves or orbital-trajectories—which are not strictly to scale.

Note four grey bars and the single green bar depicting the SC—and its accompanying green arrowed line from figure 3PS-i.  These features are also present, as well as the white and green arrowed lines—sunlight and impulse respectively—here in figure 3PS-ii.

Maximal impulse unambiguously reoccurs at a similar orbital phase in figure 3PS-ii, as it did in figure 3PS-i.  The present figure 3PS-ii provides an overview of the patent-application that is featured in this article.

The grey bars are relatively smaller—more difficult—to view in figure 3PS-ii than in figure 3PS-i; consider their, approximate, longest dimensions.  These are also on the same logarithmic-scale as the Sun’s and Earth’s depicted radii and astronomical unit, or stellar-planetary separation.
